Dr. Frank Parkhurst Brackett was born in Provincetown, Mass. in 1865. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1887. Immediately after he graduated he moved to California. In 1887, he taught at the McPherron Academy for boys in Los Angeles. In 1889 he married Lucretia Burdick in Pomona, California. He taught astronomy, mathematics, and Latin at Pomona College from 1892 to 1932. In 1912, he took a sabbatical to travel to Algeria to conduct experiments on government funded research project....
